When you visit our website, your IP address, start and end of session are recorded for the duration of this session. This is for technical reasons and thus constitutes a legitimate interest as defined in Art 6 (1) f GDPR. Unless otherwise stipulated below, this data will not be further processed by us.
1 Contact with us
If you contact us using the contact form on the website or by e-mail, the data you provide will be stored by us for six months for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.
2 Data storage
We would like to point out that for the purpose of simplifying the shopping process and for the subsequent processing of the contract, the IP data of the connection owner are stored by the webshop operator within the framework of cookies. As are the name, address and credit card number of the purchaser when an order is submitted.
The data provided by you is required for the performance of the contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. Without this data we cannot conclude the contract with you. No data is transferred to third parties, with the exception of the transfer of credit card data to the processing bank / payment service provider for the purpose of debiting the purchase price, to the transport company / shipping company commissioned by us for the delivery of the goods and to our tax advisor for the fulfilment of our tax obligations.
After termination of the purchase process, the data stored by us will be deleted. In the event of the conclusion of a contract, all data from the contractual relationship will be stored until the expiry of the retention period under tax law (7 years).
The data name, address, purchased goods and date of purchase are furthermore stored until the expiry of the product liability (10 years). The data processing is carried out on the basis of the legal provisions of § 96 para 3 TKG as well as Art 6 para 1 lit a (consent) and/or lit b (necessary for the fulfilment of the contract) of the GDPR.
3 Cookies
Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your end device with the help of the browser. They do not cause any damage.
We use cookies to make our offer user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. They enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit.

4 Web analysis

Our concern in terms of the GDPR (legitimate interest) is the improvement of our offer and our web presence. Since the privacy of our users is important to us, the user data is pseudonymised.
The user data is stored for a period of 6 months.
5 Newsletter
You have the option of subscribing to our newsletter via our website. To do this, we need your e-mail address and your declaration that you agree to receive the newsletter.
In order to provide you with targeted information, we also collect and process information voluntarily provided about your birthday.
As soon as you have registered for the newsletter, we will send you a confirmation e-mail with a link to confirm your registration.
You can cancel your subscription to the newsletter at any time. Please send your cancellation to the following e-mail address: contact@socksandtales.com. We will then immediately delete your data in connection with the newsletter dispatch. This cancellation does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the cancellation.
